Principal's Message

Dear Tiger Staff, Students, Parents and Community Members,  

 

We at LMS believe Staff, Students and Parents work together to make Lynwood Middle School a special place by focusing on building positive relationships and improving student achievement. As we start the 2019-20 school year.  It gives us the opportunity to build off the past successes and create new ones.  In order to accomplish this, we have added Computer Science to go along with our Engineering and Medical Courses.  This course will articulate with our high schools so students can continue taking courses in that field.  In addition, the music program has been expanded to include a drum line. We will continue our partnership with Bridge Builders, as well as adding the STEAM Coders.  Even though these new experiences have been added for our kids, the core classes have gotten stronger due to teachers collaborating in the summer and committing to common teaching strategies to improve student learning.  An example is that several of our teachers completed AVID Excel and GLAD training to enhance their instructional delivery. 
 
As always, I am humbled to work with such awesome students, caring and dedicated staff members, and supportive parents.  Join me in this year's journey as we redefine success at our school. Together we can continue to make LMS a special place for everyone!
